The goal of our programs is to prepare students for entry-level opportunities in various areas of the aviation industry. Students practice aircraft maintenance skills on industry-standard equipment in a safe and supervised setting.
The Airframe and Powerplant Technician training program is designed to take 18 to 20 months to complete, depending on the location. The Aviation Maintenance Technology program is designed to take 24 months to complete at our MIAT location.
Our Aviation programs are recognized by the FAA and teach students the skills they need to prepare to apply and test for FAA certification.80 Our programs give students the knowledge they need to work safely, as well as to prepare to obtain certifications needed for the industry.

Long Beach is the third-largest city in Southern California and, like its name implies, there are plenty of beach and water activities to do in the area. In addition to boating and an array of nature attractions in Long Beach, the city also hosts annual racing events.
South Florida offers several airports, including the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, Miami and Daytona Beach international airports, which can make UTI Miramar a great place to train in aviation mechanics.
