Cost of Attendance

Your cost of attendance (COA) is an estimate of the expenses you may incur while attending Universal Technical Institute. The COA includes direct expenses such as tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment. Indirect expenses such as living, transportation, and other miscellaneous personal expenses are included as well. UTI uses the cost of attendance budgets to help determine a student’s eligibility for financial aid.

Tuition and direct expenses vary by program and are listed in the UTI catalog addendum. Listed below we have included the cost of attendance budget for our AOS Automotive Tech II program at the UTI Avondale campus. The indirect expenses below are based off a 12-month academic year and may be prorated when academic years are shorter or longer. Indirect expenses reflect an average cost of the components that fall within the category. For additional cost of attendance budgets please contact the Financial Aid office.
