WHAT YOU’LL LEARN In cooperation with Roush Yates, a leading brand in the performance industry, students learn everything from reading blueprints and interpreting geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to the programming, setup and operation of CNC lathes and mills. CNC TURNING I AND II Students will learn to set up and operate CNC lathes while performing turning operations. MANUAL MACHINING BASICS, MANUAL LATHE AND MANUAL MILL Students will learn the fundamentals of machining, such as operating a manual mill before moving on to CNC equipment. INTERPRETING BLUEPRINTS AND JOB LAYOUT Students will learn to interpret and use blueprints and engineering drawings with regards to both manual and CNC machining. MATHEMATICS, MATERIALS AND MAINTENANCE Pin gage sets are one of the many precisions tools students learn to use during this program. BASIC MACHINE SHOP SKILLS Students will learn about setup, operation, quality control and safety in a CNC machine shop. COMPUTER-AIDED SOFTWARE (CAD)/COMPUTER-AIDED MANUFACTURING (CAM) Students will learn the fundamentals of industry-standard software in CNC machining.
