MIAT offers two aviation training programs. Both include a mix of classroom and hands-on learning, and courses are led by passionate instructors with industry experience.2

Aviation Maintenance Technology

This program prepares students for career opportunities in aviation, renewable energy, industrial technology and more.1 Over the course of 24 months, they learn the basics of air science and take a series of airframe and powerplant courses. Upon graduation, they’re prepared to test for Airframe and Powerplant FAA Certification.80

Airframe and Powerplant Technician Program

Students in the 20-month Airframe & Powerplant Technician program learn about aircraft troubleshooting, hydraulics and pneumatics, powerplant lubrication systems, turbine engine operation and more. Like the Aviation Maintenance Technology program, they’re equipped to test for Airframe and Powerplant FAA Certification after graduation.
