The Rancho Cucamonga Epicenter is a 52-acre sports complex with a scenic mountain backdrop, making it an ideal venue for a variety of events. Concerts, sporting events, filming, classic car shows, auto and RV shows, and festivals are just some of the many activities that take place here.
Originally built in 1915, the Cucamonga Service Station is a restored service station that now houses a Route 66 museum. This service station is reminiscent of roadside architecture popular from the 1910s to the 1940s. The station was designated a historical site in 2009 and has since been restored to its 1915 appearance. Visitors can stop by to take a walk through history and experience what a vintage service station was like.
If you’re looking for a place to go outside and get some fresh air, look no further than Red Hill Community Park. With a mile-long exercise trail, half-acre lake, shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits and baseball, and softball and soccer fields, there’s something for everyone.
The Pacific Electric Inland Empire Trail runs through western San Bernardino Valley, with stunning views and connections to community centers and parks. The part of the trail that runs through Rancho Cucamonga includes a 10-foot-wide concrete trail for bikes and another granite path that is great for running, walking and horseback riding. The path connects to Claremont, a city with shopping and plenty of things to do.
Etiwanda Falls is a 3.4-mile hike that begins in Rancho Cucamonga. The path is lined with beautiful scenery and leads to a waterfall, meaning it has plenty of photo opportunities. If you’re wanting to go for a hike and take in the beautiful California weather, this is the perfect spot.
Rancho Cucamonga isn’t far from Disneyland! Located about 40 miles away, there’s an almost endless amount of things to do and see at Disneyland and California Adventure. You can also experience the magic of Disney for free by visiting the Downtown Disney District located just outside the park!
Located about 50 miles from Rancho Cucamonga, Universal Studios Hollywood offers famous rides and attractions, including Jurassic World, Fast & Furious, Harry Potter World and much more. CityWalk is a portion of the park that is free to enter. Whether you decide to enter the park or take a stroll down CityWalk, there’s something for everyone here.
If you love the beach, you’re in luck. Both Huntington Beach and Newport Beach are located about 55 miles from Rancho Cucamonga! Whether you decide to spend a weekend or take a day trip, both of these locations offer beautiful shores and piers lined with shops and restaurants.
Located in Los Angeles, Griffith Observatory sits on the southern slope of Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park. Here, visitors can look through telescopes, explore exhibits, see live shows and enjoy stunning views of L.A. and the Hollywood sign. Admission to the building, grounds and telescopes is always free, and a public bus service regularly runs from the base to the top of the mountain. Parking typically costs anywhere from $6 to $10 during hours the observatory is open. This spot is a must-see in L.A.!
Adams Motorsports Park is a vintage outdoor track for go-karting, minibikes and motorcycle racing that has been in operation since 1959. The track is busy seven days a week with exciting racing action on a challenging road course. They even offer a racing academy for racers of all ages and experience levels. Whether you want to sit back and watch or get behind the wheel yourself, Adams Motorsports Park has it all.
Located in San Bernardino, Orange Show Speedway is a quarter-mile asphalt track opened in 1947. It’s been said to be the longest continuously running racetrack on the West Coast! Tickets to attend typically cost around $10, and the schedule is updated regularly to showcase upcoming events.
