Known for its rich history, delicious food and evolving culture, Sacramento is a popular destination for tourists. The city is also home to UTI Sacramento — a 128,623-square foot technical school where students can train to become automotive and diesel technicians.1 And the Welding Technology program is coming to UTI Sacramento.

The California Automobile Museum has a collection of more than 150 classic cars, race cars, muscle cars and early models. With a wide variety of exhibits to explore and events to attend, this 72,000-square foot museum is every car enthusiast’s dream.
The museum also offers a variety of classes, including Model T driving, muscle car tuneups, automotive design and clay modeling, automotive photography, and more. Originally built in 1964, Sacramento Raceway Park is a popular hub for drag racing and motocross. The record-setting drag strip offers racing for everyone, whether you want to attend an event such as the NHRA Pacific National Open or hit the track for a test and tune. On Friday nights, the track hosts motocross racing, which is open to riders of all skill levels.
All American Speedway is a one-third-mile NASCAR-sanctioned racetrack located in Roseville, which is about 20 miles northeast of Sacramento. Whether you want to compete in a race or attend as a fan, this track offers an unforgettable experience.
If you’re thinking about being a competitor, be sure to check out the track’s rules and regulations first. Tickets for general admission cost $20 for adults and are free for active military members with a military ID.
Marysville Raceway has been deemed the “Action Track of the West.” The quarter-mile clay oval features competitive motorsports events and has 3,000 grandstand seats. The raceway showcases all types of race cars, including fan favorite Winged Pacific 360 Sprint Cars. Ticket prices vary based on the event, so be sure to check the track’s schedule when planning your visit.
